Well, it's the last day of January and somehow this month was 200 days long, and 2 days long, all at the same time. 2024 was a busy year for Deacon Hill, and I am beyond grateful for your support. While I was busy sewing the year flew by and this site did not get any TLC. A new year brings good intentions, and it is my goal to publish this blog once a month so you will be able to see what I am working on - fingers crossed, if I publish this, I just might hold myself to it.
While I continue to sew clothes and quilts, I have also started to offer sewing lessons. It brings me great joy to meet so many wonderful people and empower them on their sewing journeys. I offer private lessons and am also teaching at Seamless Sewing Arts in Phoenixville, PA. This is a great store with great people. If you are local, do not hesitate to stop in. If you are interested in private sewing lessons please reach out.
Someone recently asked me what my favorite project was from last year. Quite frankly, it's hard to pick; it's like asking who your favorite child is. Instead, I will leave you with my most memorable project of 2024. I made this quilt as a wedding present for someone near and dear to me. It is far from perfect, but it was made with a lot of love. Rebecca Moyer of the Purple Bobbin longarmed it. and took this amazing photo which is much better quality than any of my own.

I look forward to sharing my 2025 projects with you. Stay tuned:)
